Remarks

Very close to Mimachlamys varia varia but differs in the number of ribs: Mimachlamys varia varia (27-35)-Mimachlamys varia nivea (41-48).

Colour is mostly white, sometimes with some yellow, orange, purple or brown in it. Coloured specimens seems to exist more frequent than first thought. Sometimes there are numbers of 86-88% white specimens and 12-14% with colours.

is a subspecies from Mimachlamys varia

can only be found from West Scotland and the Hebrides Isl.
